Joan. It was musical royalty playing!! I clapped when they announced Itzhak Pearlman and Yo-Yo Ma were playing! (I was sitting on a couch with J. He looked startled by my clapping and bouncing up and down over a quartet played AND ARRANGED by musical royalty!) Did you really think you even had a chance?
It was one of my favorite parts of the day. Except I kept wondering if they had really dragged their primary instruments out in that cold, or if they were only their $50,000 instruments...It made my fingers cold to watch. Fortunately, I eventually got past that and enjoyed the music and the performance.
Although, I think my favorite part of the day had to have been the benediction. ;)
Carrie- I kept wondering how many times they'd had to tune their instruments while sitting out there in the cold. They just looked so happy while they played! YYM always looks happy when he plays, but it seemed like all of them were jubilant.
