Music for kids, part 1

My sister in law is about to have a baby and asked Todd and me for some music recommendations.  These are a few of the CDs that don't make our brains want to melt and ooze out of our ears with repeated listening.  I'll be posting more throughout the day.

We love They Might Be Giants. We have No! Julianna and Jacob love it.

We also all enjoy Chip Richter.

Peter, Paul and Mary's Peter, Paul and Mommy is awesome. So is Peter, Paul and Mommy too.

I also like Collin Raye's Counting Sheep.

For The Children is great too.

(Can you tell we've had kids FOREVER! I've given this subject a big chunk of my life.)

Thanks for the recommendations. We love They Might Be Giants...we've got the ABC's and 123's Cd's. I'll have to peek at some of the other ones you've posted.

Woohoo! Thanks for the list. We appreciate not having to resort to the Little Einsteins theme song.

Stacey, I wlil have to check those out. I saw Peter, Paul, and Mommy the other day and wondered if it was good.

Amo, what did you think of the 123's? It's not my favorite compared to the others, but maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance.

JBB, you are welcome. It was fun to do this.

Maurisa, how are you feeling? Do you need donuts? ;)
