As for Perks of Being a Wallflower, I LOVED the movie and then read the book (I almost never do this), but the music was a big part of the story arc for me and a big part of why I loved it. The author also wrote the screenplay and I think he did an excellent job with the book, but an even better job with the movie.Emiliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16048808594518495647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597930231184018647.post-57605486854213509912013-04-01T08:58:31.320-07:002013-04-01T08:58:31.320-07:00Thanks, Beth. I didn't love the writing style and found myself trying to figure out why she would date him in the first place, let alone be obsessive about the relationship. Of course, I'm reading it as an adult. Maybe if I'd read it earlier, I would have liked it more. It has clearly resonated with others over the years.
Emiliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16048808594518495647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597930231184018647.post-68466651579986057732013-04-01T08:54:23.296-07:002013-04-01T08:54:23.296-07:00Tricia, I read it because a friend of mine is frie...Tricia, I read it because a friend of mine is friends with the author. It's not bad, but I like her second book (which I read first) better. I felt like things happened too quickly in some cases, and took too long in others. So, the timing always felt a little off for me. That being said, I think the author did a good job with not making any of the characters too likable. They all had their foibles.
Emiliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16048808594518495647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597930231184018647.post-40038851052119192872013-04-01T06:21:46.168-07:002013-04-01T06:21:46.168-07:00So sorry about your foot. I remember hiding Forever from my Mom because I was forbidden to read it. :) Definitely just made me more determined.

Hope you get back to running in April, injury free.

I'm feeling like this is a time for renewal and beginning again. I think Easter makes a lot of sense to look at what we want to change and adjust.

Mom24https://www.blogger.com/profile/00061152728345287775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597930231184018647.post-65559382575189480112013-03-31T20:37:35.412-07:002013-03-31T20:37:35.412-07:00How was Stay?
